Why Do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Our club focuses on helping adults and children wanting to get fit, learn potentially life saving skills, and meet new friends in a safe environment. We have a well developed programme for absolute beginners through to advanced. If you’re looking to compete or find a new hobby, then our experienced coaches will guide you through techniques in a well structured and fun environment to help achieve your goals. Our coaches have competed at some of the largest competitions in the world but we do recognise that not all people want to compete. Keeping active, mental focus and social interaction are also key aspects of training BJJ.
Our beginners programme has been carefully developed so everyone can participate regardless of age, athletic ability or fitness. No experience? No problem! We will guide you every step of the way
If you are nervous about joining a class then why not try a private 1-2-1 or 1-2-2 to give you a head start? Send us a message or give us a call to discuss - firstname.lastname@example.org or 07711810118.
What is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a non striking martial art which aims to control an opponent through grappling and leverage. Primarily ground fighting which involves gaining dominant positions in order to apply submission techniques such as joint locks and chokeholds. Sounds scary? Don’t worry, these are all performed in a safe learning environment with experienced coaches observing every step.
Made famous in the UFC, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can help a smaller person overcome a larger opponent using correct technique and leverage.
